About Me

Victoria, BC
Hello! Mom and Dad created this site to introduce me to all our friends and family, near and far. They promise to post pictures here and updates on how I am doing. Right now I am exactly 20 weeks old on January 14, 2009. We had our first ultrasound on Monday, January 12 and everything seems to be awesome. I am a perfect size and very very active. I am due to enter the world in early June but who knows...

Mother's Day

Hello again,
Suddenly there is an influx of pictures! These are pictures from our first Mother's Day and Brad decided to spoil us with breakfast in bed (ignore the bedhead please).
We had our 37 week midwife appointment today and everything still seems to be going well. Baby is head down, but posterior, which could lead to "back labour" so we have exercises and work to do to get Peanut turned around so their bum is facing out. Either way, things are going great and mom and dad are getting VERY excited.

Hi there! Well, here we are at just over 36 weeks. We have started our prenatal classes and Mom is all done with school for a while. Dad is totally stoked about my arrival and now reads me bedtime stories. Everything is going very smoothly and we are all healthy. Look at how BIGGG we are now!

32 weeks and counting

Hi there everyone,

Thanks to Lauren we are finally able to post a recent picture. This was taken on Saturday, April 4 at my soccer banquet. Although I am not playing anymore it was so great to see the girls again and get inspired for next season. Wooo I'm pumped. From the way Peanut is kicking I am quite sure s/he will be a soccer player too! But it'll be rugby if Brad has any say.

We have been fortunate and so far there are no major complaints, just the standard loss of coordination and movement. I feel very awkward now and can no longer see my feet without bending. I finish up school on April 17th and then I should have some time at home to prepare before Peanut's debut. We have decided to take a year off school so that I can spend some quality time at home with Peanut and I will probably take one course each semester to stay mentally active.

Brad has been very busy with school, teaching, hockey and various other activities and he is getting as excited as I am. The names have been semi-decided but seem to be still open to debate.

Stay tuned for more info. If you want to be on the distribution list for the big "email" send me your email address at cgeering@hotmail.com

Lots of love,
Cherie & Peanut (and Brad)

Hello everyone,
Sorry it has been so long since I have updated you. We have had an exciting and sometime sad new year so far. First we had to say goodbye to our awesome dog, Peyto. It is sad because Peanut will never get to meet him. He was a very brave and loyal friend to us right to the end.
BUT, on the much much happier side of things we welcomed a new Curry into the world. Cooper Patrick Curry was born on January 27th to a happy Chris and Marcy. We are ecstatic for them and can't wait to visit Calgary and meet Cooper. Also, our friends Stacey and Paul welcomed their Amelie Dawn on January 31st! What a week! Two beautiful new babies and reasons to visit Calgary.
Things for Peanut are going swimmingly, probably quite literally! I (Mom) has been referring to her as a s/he (comes out as she) because "it" just doesn't seem right. Hopefully I am not causing gender confusion :-) We passed our glucose tolerance test, the latest in the tests they put you through. Peanut is also very active, especially when I eat. My belly is VERY round now and I think I look about 8 months instead of 27 weeks. Don't worry, pictures will be posted soon, we just have to get around to it. I have lost my ability to move quickly and easily and can't wait to be on the soccer field again. I miss movement.
The nursery is as complete as it can get at this point and we are now in the battle to nail down options for names. Who knew we had such different taste?
That's it for now, but stay in touch and there will be some pictures soon.

Lots of Love, Cherie, Brad and Peanut. XO
